Who We Are
[ THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS · SINCE 2017 ]
A Church You Can Know and Be known
The Ridge started as a small home group in the summer of 2017 and launched as a church on September 10, 2017, just days after Hurricane Harvey swept through the Houston area. What began around a few chairs in someone's living room has been finding room for more people ever since.
The Ridge is a church where you can be known, a place of familiar faces and friends who are glad to see you. It’s a church with just the right amount of technology; you’re not at a concert (although, we love concerts). You’ll hear an relevant message that resonates in today’s culture, one that always points to Jesus and hopefully leaves you hungry for more.
Be prepared to be challenged and stretched. This faith journey we’re on is a workout, not a cake-walk. However, if you’re a “Super Christian,” you might want to keep looking, because everyone here is flawed and trying to grow.

[ WHAT WE BELIEVE ]
OUR DOCTRINAL BELIEFS
What you'll find at The Ridge is people from all different faith backgrounds: Baptist, Charismatic, Catholic, or nothing at all. The centrality of Jesus and His message is the focus. Check out
what we actually believe straight from God's Word, plainly stated.
How We Live Out Our Faith
Five things we’re actually trying to be, not just words on a wall.
Passionately Active
Faith shows up in action: missions, prayer, and the courage to invite someone else in. Sunday is a starting point for us, never the finish line.
Refreshingly Real
We’d rather be authentic than polished. Real conversations, real doubts, real struggles: vulnerability over performative religiosity, every time. Church shouldn’t require you to pretend.
A Contagious Community
Faith was never meant to be a solo project. Through Community Groups, we build real relationships that go beyond a Sunday morning, spurring one another on, the way Hebrews 10:24–25 describes.
Overwhelmingly Generous
Generosity here isn’t just about the offering plate. It’s time, ability, and attention: whatever you have to give, given freely, because that’s how we were first loved.
Constantly Striving
We’re pursuing growth in every area of life, reflecting Christ a little more than we did yesterday. “That you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way” (Colossians 1:10).
Come & See
The best way to know if this is your church is to just show up. Doors open early and somebody will point you to a seat.
